New Zealand born painter Charles Clapshaw has been connecting creativity with technology for 25 years – from CD-ROMS, building a global Digital Arts Network during web 1&2, time as an augmented artist at Apple, and now as an evangelist for art technologies.

He has exhibited worldwide, recently at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney as well as Circular Quay for the augmented drone show during Elevate 2022, The Other Art Fair 2021, the 2020 Biennale of Sydney, the Centre Pompidou in Paris (2019), Improper Walls in Vienna (2017), The Edinburgh festival, and has murals in Mumbai, Angkor Wat, Bangkok and Bondi Beach.

Currently, Charles is riding out 2022 with his Shetland Sheepdog Ellie and planning a Belle Epoque in Sydney, Australia.

Started in 2021, Charles’ studio above the Post Office in Central Bondi resembles more of a lab than a gallery.Paintings, Augmented Reality, Screens, Speakers and Projectors are on display for testing and creation.
