ME - WHY AM I DOING THIS
I am Autistic and was diagnosed two years ago by three psychiatrists and two psychologists. Also I have ADHD and so we call it AuDHD.
I have created this website for two reasons:
1) I need help and don't know how to bring it up
2) I am inspired by the people who help me and wish to help other autistic adults

Autism is difficult for everyone - it does not choose race, colour or gender, rich or poor.
SHAME, STIGMA as well as MISINFORMATION about Autism has meant that I am now in a dangerous situation where I do not have anywhere to live, no people to ask for help - I feel that I am being outcast from humanity.
HOWEVER I am also aware that this is because of my limited experience of living with a disability, and there are ways to survive.
Firstly to ASK for help. Because two of the core disabilities with Autism are communication and social interaction, picking up the phone or sending a message is not an option for me.
And so I did what any Autistic Webmaster from the 90's would...I made this site.
WHAT I NEED HELP WITH:
I broke it down into three parts - the first one is quite immediate but I wish to pay it forward and have listed everything I own for sale - make an offer or donation for Art or Objects or view all here.
All proceeds will be used for Adult Autism support - to help me get back housed again and with a breakdown of the funding goals as follows, click the + to see a breakdown:

I realise that Autism is a lifelong struggle and I will use this life make the world a kinder place for Adult Autists (or even AuDHDers) like me.
Years, knowledge, support, inspiration and understanding from a lived experience on both sides of disability have provided unique insights which I will combine with creativity and leadership to provide tangible help and understanding for Autistic Adults.
To start I think it is about information and education.
And so I have created an 'Autism Information Desk' at Badlambs Barber on the corner of Glenayr Avenue and Curlewis Street, Bondi Beach, from 1pm until 3pm every day during April.
There I will be creating live artworks using technologies to demonstrate some of the amazement that also comes with disability - come and have a chat to learn and start to understand autism from an autist.
